Arts Out and
About
Welcome to
the Arts Award. I would like to take this
opportunity to briefly explain about the Bronze Arts
Award which is aimed at 11 - 25 year olds and can be
achieved by taking part in the Residential
Opportunity and at home or in the Youth Club.
WHAT
IS THE BRONZE ARTS AWARD?
A
recognised qualification which should be fun.
Young people have control by setting their own
targets.
What is involved in taking the Arts Award?
It is split into the following 4 categories and they
need to participate in each section:
Part A: Take part
Young people can take part in any arts activity they
enjoy - or try one for the first time. They might
do this as part of a group or on their own. This
could be getting involved with an arts activity -
for example, making or playing music, dancing, doing
a drama workshop or learning photography. Or they
might take part in a different way, for example film
editing, playing in a band or get involved in the
Sculpture in the Environment workshop.
Section B
Be a member of an audience at an event, such as
theatre production, film, music gig, etc.
Section C
Research an artist of their choice.
Section D
Assist Awards Leader
Remember young people set their own targets so, as
long as they achieve them, they will pass -
providing they have the necessary evidence.
